Campus Kitchens student group serves up 100,000th meal for Marquette’s neediest neighbors

Campus Kitchen volunteers pose for a group picture after preparing meals. These volunteers passed the 100,000 meal mark at this session. The program uses leftover food on campus to feed others ranging from school children to the elderly. Campus Kitchen runs Monday through Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Straz cafeteria. Marquette employees give $70, 230 in political contributions

The Democratic Party received $62,681 in financial support from Marquette employees between 2004 and 2010 according to the online database Opensecrets.org.
